Per the title - which one would you all recomend as I need to choose an experience.

I did the GT3 Experience when I bought my Gen2 which was excellent, but now not sure which one to for...I imagine they will be changing them soon too based on this week's launch so any pointers on how quickly that will occur also gratefully received.

Do I "need" to drive the 4.0RS so I can say I've driven it (not likely to own one), or as I've got a 3.8RS does it matter...therefore do Ultimate GT?

As a refresher the content of each are:

Evoltion RS
Porsche "RS" models would not exist without the race track. This experience will illustrate the raw, focussed character of the 911 GT3 RS through its evolution.

Driving a 911 GT 3 RS, followed by a 911 GT3 RS 3.8 and ultimately the truly iconic 911 GT3 RS 4.0 you will appreciate how this legend has evolved whilst retaining its race bred nature.

One-to-one Tuition: Yes

Event Car: GT3 RS Gen1 & Gen 2, GT3 RS 4.0

Running Length: 90 mins

Ultimate GT
The 911 GT2 and GT2 RS are the most powerful 911 variants ever produced. Driving both the GT2 and GT2 RS you will experience the awe inspiring performance of a twin turbo 911 GT.

To introduce you to the power and character of a genuine supercar, your experience will commence in the 911 GT2. Then you will drive the most extreme variant of 911 - the GT2 RS - shattering performance combined with genuine "RS DNA".

One-to-one Tuition: Yes

Event Car: GT2 & GT2 RS

Running Length: 90 mins

___

So chaps, which one would you go for? Thoughts pls.

I too have a gen2 3.8 RS and also have never driven the 4.0, so just to see what all the fuss is about I would go for the RS experience....;)

I've done the RS course and it was good showing the progress which had a noticable jump each time with the 4 being the biggest. But you have a 3.8 so one is slower and the other is faster. You could afford a GT2! Ask to drive yours first for a few laps.

Thanks guys...decisions, decisions.

This is my thinking....

1. If I do the RS Evolution and drive the 4.0RS I might not be satisfied with my 3.8RS - possible - why I sold my Gen2 for the Gen2 RS after driving it, but can't afford to buy a 4.0 anyway so perhaps moot...but will I be better off not "knowing" or being able to say to self..."I've driven the 4.0"?
2. Do the Ultimate GT course as never driven any of the Turbos and and the 2RS is even rarer? But will the GT2s be to much for the PEC circuit??

Keep the thoughts coming guys...many thanks.

I did the 3.8 RS, 4.0 RS and GT2. I thought the circuit was way too small to even guess what the GT2 could do. I only really booked it for the 4.0 and originally it was planned to be a GT2 RS, but that went back to Germany.

I agree with Magic but they are ALL too fast for that diddy little circuit and you cannot give them a thorough test but funnily enough you do get a feel for the differences. For instance I suspect you will realise that lines cannot be adjusted so easily [if at all as I haven't tried the GT2]on the throttle.
You will definitely want to upgrade to the 4 but will you want to upgrade to the one you can afford, the GT2.
I am in the same financial boat as you and cannot decide between the GT3RS and the GT2. If you do go GT2 what do you want for your RS? I still recommend the GT2 trial and forget the 4 as you have the 458, the 12c et al.

I've done the RS course - was meant to have a go in the GT2S but that had gone back to Germany, so I had a go in the new 991 instead.

GT3 RS 4.0 is epic! I really liked it, best car I've ever driven. The main difference between that and yours is the torque. You can't help but notice that and it's also slightly pointier and firmer. I don't think you'll be desperate to get out of your 3.8RS for one but I'd be surprised if you didn't prefer it.

As previous poster said, I'd do this to see what the fuss is about and whether or not you think it's worth the hype.

Guys...thanks for all the inputs and ideas - really helpful.

My RS is a keeper (that's the plan) but like most of us I've said the before!!

I will call PEC and find out what cars they've got (GTRS) and when changeover to new GT3 is and how that will affect the line-up offered.
