For those that give a toss, most will know on here that I'm a massive fan of the "alternative colour" steering away from the usual blacks / greys. Well, last Saturday I popped over to Grange to do a deal on a set of sport pack wheels bang in the middle of their Behind Closed Doors weekend. It took a while for the penny to drop as I sat there sipping coffee, but eventually I thought....... 'old on a minute, am I missing a trick here. So out of curiosity I asked the dealer to scribble down a deal on a new V12 Vantage based on the offer price and to include mine as part of exchange. And when I saw the numbers, I wasn't scared. In fact inside, I was starting to get excited. I think we all know the feeling.

So that night the man maths calculator was red hot and remembering the morning frost one at Welwyn, I went for a nose the next morning. Stunning car, beautiful colour, cracking spec, so another coffee and the cheque book came out. Deposit paid.

As Monday came it became apparent the the figures on the frost wasn't working out as well as the Brentwood car, so back to Brentwood for another look. Now please don't groan, but a meteorite silver V12 with a black grill against those carbon fibre grills and splitter looks awesome. A test drive of the demonstrator was enough, I was 'aving it.

If the guys from grange find themselves seeing this thread. Thanks. You've been brilliant and I apologise right now for being a complete indecisive pain in the arse.

Anyway, I'm picking it up on Saturday.........pics to follow as soon as my ste broadband connection allows me to post a few.

P.S I still love California sage green.

Congrats matey and welcome to the V12V club!

Is it new, as in brand new or nearly new? Also I know there isnt a huge amount of spec/options on V12V as its mostly standard, but what are the details such as seats, stereo, interior colour / stitching etc...

Pics are of course expected!

There we go.......

Predictably, black with silver stitching. Extras include premium audio, heated seats and front parking sensors. As you say, not much else to spec. The morning frost had light weight seats and B&O sound, but just couldn't justify the extra £10K.

Very nice indeed - in fact it sounds very very similar to my first V12V actually!

Yeah its hard for the dealers to discount that much extra RRP off a price to match a another car without the same spec. Those items are some of the most expensive options: B&O and Mornign Frost are both about £5k, and lightweights are another £2k or so I believe. Anyway sounds like you are a very happy camper with your choice - Phil will of course be after your chassis numbers and such like! smile

Congratulations on your new car, it's exactly the same as mine.
Is it a 2013 MY with the full piano black centre console, auto wipers and lights.
I really like the latest centre console treatment, I'm considering upgrading mine (the console not the car).

Yep. That exact spec and yes, it's a 2013 car. thumbup know what you mean about the full black console. Just finishes it off nicely.

It looks stunning and congratulations. Agree that the B&O is hard to justify - and how many times do you have music on anyway as all you need to listen to is the car biggrin
