Rear fog light and hogging middle lane!!

Came up behind a car tonight hogging the middle lane at 65mph ish, with rear fog lights blazing. Weather conditions were light drizzle (enough only for intermittent wipe at 75). As I drew alongside, I realised it wasn't just some old fart in a daydream, but was actually a BSM instructor!! What hope have we got?!! Rant over

I have heard examples of Instructors actively discouraging people from using the inside lane of a 3 lane carriageway, stating that its a crawler lane, only for HGVs etc..no wonder it goes on. Then there are the people who know the Highway Code and still sit in Lane 2 or even 3 on a clear road. Remember on Top Gear SIRPC, Michael McIntyre doing a piece about his car being too good for the 'Loser Lane'..seems to be most peoples attitude these days

although Lorries seem to be ubiquitous on any motorway, there are stretches and times when the road is clear. I am talking about muppets teaching people wrong lane discipline without any context

There's always one!!

Point is, good visibility apart from light rain (and dark), but surely this person should know better! If they are teaching new drivers, there's no hope at all!!

I give a st mate, when I have to move to lane 3 to overtake or get held up by some muppet sitting in lane 3. I really dont think there is much point trying to emphasise that to you if you cant see it already

er, actually I wasnt citing an example where there is a vehicle in Lane 2 and in lane 3! I was hypothetically musing that a driver who takes such an attitude would be just as likely to sit in lane 3 as lane 2. Thus, if I want to avoid undertaking I am held up by somebody elses poor roadcraft, unless I want to indulge in a spot of dodgy driving myself. Anyway, its all semantics. Just take a look at the highway code

Then it does not effect my driving
Doesn't bother me, and I can just get on with enjoying my self.
Now the prick in lane 3 at 70mph,is a different. story !!!!!
