This tool is rather handy. You just plot in your miles and how much you filled her up for, and it continuously calculates your average MPG and even makes you a signature with your current MPG( not sure if you can use signatures on this forum though..)

Just thought I`d put it out there smile

Cheers for that. Great site. Really good to compare real world mpg of diesel/petrol based on a large sample.

fuelly.com does the same thing, and is easier to understand on account of not being in German.

I use MPG Free on my iPhone.

I don't think there's a desktop version but inputing stats straight to the phone works for me.

From the cars I have Spritmonitor has significantly more cars on its database - so makes for more accurate comparison

Fuelly is the best for sharing on forums, I think. It was reassuring as an MX-5 owner, to go onto Nutz and see that everyone else was only getting 22mpg too! hehe

Either I can't count, which is very possible, or there are people getting 72ish mpg out of their diesel Astras. If they are I want to know how. smile

The German site is also in English. I just checked Nissan QQ diesel and petrol on Fuelly and the sample was comically small compared to the German site linked by the OP.
