Increase in Police patrolling by bicycle...

Farnborough area, just lately, I've noticed a huge increase in the number of cops on bikes. Usually in pairs, they patrol areas that can't be reached by car, and do it far quicker than on foot. All good, IMHO.
Yesterday, driving into town past the airport, I was surprised to see a huge yellow blob approaching on the cycle path alongside Elles Road { http://goo.gl/maps/5YFGm }. As I got closer, I realised it wasn't a single yellow blob, but could now be identified as consisting of 6 distinct parts. Each of these parts was a Police Officer, wearing a high vis jacket (one step ahead of the Met, there) and cycle helmet, riding along on a MTB/Hybrid thing.
No photos, as I was driving. Presumably this was a training ride for officers new to patrolling by bike, but it just had me thinking "there's never a policeman around when you need one, then 6 turn up all at once". Well, it amused me, anyway. The 6 officers seemed in good spirits too, despite the drizzle.
