Stop The Press!!

To complement all the other events running over the Chatsworth weekend, I'm very pleased to announce that Brendan (ex-Raceproved Bodyshop, now Concept Performance) has joined up with a number of other well-known names in the TVR space to host a "meet-the-experts" open-day at his premises in Sheffield.

Those that will be attending the event include names like...
  • Plasticman (David Hillis)
  • Dave the Trimmer (Dave Goodwin)
  • Kits and Classics (aka Joolz)
  • RT Racing
  • ...and of course, Brendan!

When...

The event will run on the Saturday, 27 April, starting at 1030 in the morning and run until 1530 in the afternoon.

Where...

The event will be hosted at Brendan's premises in Sheffield...

2 Rotherham Road
Handworth
Sheffield, S13 9LL

The Details...

The purpose of this open-day is to gather together well-known experts in each of the main areas of TVR maintenance and modification and for you to come along and...
  • have a chat with them,
  • see some of the latest work they have done,
  • ask questions to your hearts content,
  • ...and have fun!
Refreshments will be available throughout the day and more importantly, a valeting company will be available - a critical need for Sunday! thumbup

On display on the day will be...
  • A selection of chassis' from RT Racing that are currently being treated or rebuilt. Feel free to ask questions about any chassis issue you have!
  • A selection of projects Brendan and Pete of Concept Performance have under way - including LED lights, a T350 convertible, a Sagaris Targa, carbon fibre projects and resprays, plus an entirely new TVR design! Feel free to ask any questions about any CF or respray project you have!
  • A selection of car's re-trimmed by Dave - including a Tuscan and a Sagaris.
All-in-all, it should be a great day out!

And for those not familiar with these names, here is a brief summary of what they do.

Concept Performance...
This is the new name that Brendan will now be trading under. Trading under Raceproved Workshop, Brendan has helped developed and implement many new innovations for customers, including but not limited to, Sagaris slats (as seen on my Sagaris and Don's), automatic bonnet flaps, new bonnet designs and much, much more!

PlasticMan...
David Hillis has been specialising in TVR bodywork since the late 80s after doing prototype work for Lotus and Panther amongst others. The vast majority of the work in the early years was for various TVR main dealers with the occasional trip to the states or Europe to work on private cars.

Lately he has been best known for innovative body conversions particularly the Tamora and Tuscan Sagaris conversions. These are in continual development with modification or replacement of chassis , suspension and Interiors.

If bodywork is your thing, then Dave's the man!

Dave the Trimmer...
Dave Goodwin has been specialising in trimming for well over 10 years. He has spent the much of the last few years providing innovative and specialised re-trims for a wide range of TVRs and is well-known for the high quality of his work.

Samples of his work can be found on his website @ http://www.davethetrimmer.com

Kits & Classics...
Kits and Classics specialises in the best of British sports cars with over 30 years of experience, the last 20 of which have been strongly focussed on TVR.

The core of the business is centred around road and track cars and the tuning and performance products sold, many of these products are developed in house.

Kits and Classics has a range of performance options to suit all budgets, from a few hours on the rolling road making your standard car perform at its optimum, to products aimed at the fast road and track day fanatic such as full ECU remaps of all AJP and SP6 cars, induction upgrades for Rover V8, AJP8 and SP6 cars, double adjustable damper kits and much more!

RT Racing...

Chatsworth do not allow any "commerical" bannering or anything like that on the Sunday apart from the TVRCC - at least that is I think the reason...

Not sure of the details why, but it will primarily be just cars showing and no "commerical" displays as far as I'm aware.

This is why these are being held on Saturday instead.

Kev could probably comment in more detail on the whys and wherefores, but I'll leave that for some else to chase.

See here for more info...

Alex is correct, no trade stands other than what's been agreed on from when the Chatsworth Gathering started.
The guys who are doing the Saturday stuff at Brendon's place will more than likely be at Chatsworth on Sunday, but just enjoying the day and relaxing (if they are in disguise)

Just to add a couple of small updates to this thread having spoken to Brendan at Concept Performance earlier today:

In addition to some interesting TVRs there's going to be a very nice turbocharged bike engined Mini and hopefully some custom built motorbikes for those of you who like your fun on two wheels

A local airbrushing team are going to be doing a design for concept performance on a T400 bonnet on the day

special offers are available for parts bought and/or work booked on the day
