Happened to be flying out of Geneva, and the motorshow is about 1 minute from the airport, so I thought why not?! Unfortunately when I got inside, I found that I'd left the battery for my camera in the charger at home, so had to make do with my phone camera. apologies in advance, the photos aren't very good, as the takes some of the worst pictures I've seen from a phone since I had a VGA camera on that old Nokia; and also because nearly every time I tried, a group of turtle-neck-wearing Germans seemed to appear from thin air and start discussing how Vorsprung durch Technik the car in question was or wasn't, directly in the way of my photo!

Anyway, pics:

In the parking lot..

'La Ferrari' looked much better in the flesh, not sure about the back though.

Focus ST3 looked boring

Vanquish looking unexpectedly restrained.

F-Type didn't look as good in the flesh, back half looks really unfinished, don't think the colour helped.

My favourite stand of the day, Morgan, looked good all round.

KIA Pro'Ceed looked very good, not particularly cheap but I can see people buying this, arguably looked better than the Mk.7 Golf GTI.

Smart Brabi... Remarked to the sales woman that they weren't cheap. "If you want cheap don't talk to me". Cheers love.

Obligatory electric version.

Part 2 in a minute!

More:

Dodge..

Obligatory electric SLS.

A45 AMG looked good, still rather have a 1-series though!

[s]Passat CC[/s] Merc CLA

Obligatory BMW I-concepts

A45 again..

Oh no wait, it's BMWs mini MPV concept thing, looks finished.

3-series GT looks a lot better in real life.

M6 Gran Coupe worked well.

A45

Mini 'Highgate' (Lolz)

208 Racer looked exciting..

208 GTI looked less exciting. And tiny.

Possibly better in this colour..

Peugeot concept looked swoopy.

More Morgan.

Carlsson C25.

Carlsson SLK looked like it meant business.

Mansory... quite luggage sets, iffy cars (OK, the Aventador was alright).

Rolls Royce Wraith.

Part 3 a bit later...

F-Type's wheels ruined it for me there.

Thanks! Glad someone appreciates it!

Some more:

DS3 racer.

Apparently the gold bits make this the DS3 'Race Edition'.

C4 looked good though, new Citroens look ace.

New Asian (Chinese) brand trying to be Lexus.

Kahn Defender.

The rest of the Kahn stuff was pretty unoffensive though, surprisingly!

Quattroporte looking extremely dull, lots of guys looking like they'd really like one for their retirement.

Ecoboost Nurburgring record breaker.

Ford's stand consisted mostly of Fiesta STs.

Mazda also trying hard to be Lexus.

Ruf Goodies

Amazing (non-modded) 901.

Hamann stand just looked silly.

4c looked pretty good in red.

Even better in silver! As long as they're not too expensive they'll sell bucketloads (IMO).

And in white..

Hadn't seen an LFA close up before, looked amazing, great colour choice too, my new favourite I think.

Toyoya carver type thing.

FT-86 'Open Concept', looks pretty finished to me!

Another good colour choice, still struggling a bit with the wheels though!

Last few!

Was a bit disappointed to find that this is the new hot Clio.

Other colours looked a bit better though

Now we're talking!

Brabus stand, complete with lots of Middle Eastern gentlemen.

Twizy.

Civic Racer.

Obligatory NSX concept.

Mk7 GTI looked boring.

Golf R Cab. One for the missus!

New Leon not the most exciting either.

3 door looked better.

Noone gave a st about the Ampera.

BRZ.

Wasn't 100% sure what was going on here, odd paint and wheels mainly.

Everyone on the Cadillac stand was extremely bored.

Bertone(?) Aston wagon.

Spykers.

Pininfarina Dino.

Modern interpretation...

What's the story with this?

Engine/specs? Is it RWD?

It's a concept so I don't think there are any, but my guess would be on the next 1-series FWD platform, 1.6 diesel and lots of economy!

Great write-up, much appreciated! My thoughts are that the Aston wagon/ shooting brake is beautiful, and that VW and Seat's output is rather dull...

Massive thanks, really appreciate the time you took to put these up - even in low-quality photos like that, it provides a great snapshot of the event and now I've got a good idea of everything that was shown. Top man! beer

That FT-86 drop top looks racy.
