Returning my contract hire C350 with worn brakes!

My C goes back at the month end after 3 years - it had a service last month and pads and discs were suggested (at about £600!!!) - i skipped them and just wondered, if it goes back with worn parts (of that type) will they just fit them and bill me....in other words, should I act quick and get some cheap bits fitted now? before they slap Merc fitment stuff on it with Merc labour!

Get an indy to fit oem parts for £300.

I cant see them charging you for brakes....

MB service are renown for replacing discs far too early.

The display has just started to show "check brake wear"..... Might I get away with just pads?

fit pads your self - £60 for oem part - easy 30 mins job/side.


If you leave it to the dealer they will fit pads and discs and you will be £600 poorer (+ VAT )

As its just had a service they will prob stick it in Manheims as it is, I have seen alot of of cars in the monthly Merc auction that have just been serviced but have worn discs
