Right as the title suggests my OH is away for a week from next Weds.

This means I can indulge myself (and eat wink ) with massive plates of meat without getting moaned at.

Looking for some ideas for some mega sized meat feasts.

On the list already (my faves which I'm going to make in mega proportions)

- >22oz steak topped with an inch of caramelised onions (I had a 22oz the other night, so this needs to be bigger)

- Chicken fajitas. Probs looking at 1kg of chicken, pack of wraps, 2-3 onions and 3-4 peppers.

- Spare ribs, I'm hoping for the sun to come out one eve so I can fire the BBQ up.

- Token Kebab

Give me some manly meaty suggestions, I need a menu for the other 4 nights!!

Get some pork belly to roast... nothing better than a massive slab of crackling and porky goodness.

Something like this...

If beef like a steak or a filet, you may as well, if you can be bothered, make a monster portion of hollandaise for dipping the slabs of 'moooo' in.

That's a bit laborious and tricky just as cooking a steak perfectly can be so something even easier but takes more cooking time might be a tray full of massive ox tails. Braise slow and low for a couple hours.

- mash potatoes

- some bangers

A week should be long enough - be sure not to leave any 'residual' clues.

Scrag end of neck (lamb!) stewed with pearl barley.

Leave it in the oven for at least 2 hours...

Veggie, nah don't be silly - that would drive me nuts. It's just that portions and options are tamed slightly when we're both eating a meal!

So whilst she is away I just want to go crazy and have a proper man feast each night.

Dirty takeaway thread is epic, I will collect some menus from around town over the weekend!

^^^ That.

Or chicken burgers (butterfly and grill the chicken breasts, with Jamaican chilli sauce, cheese, and mayo). With Ainslie Harriot style oven-baked chips, and onion rings. yum

Wednesday - steak and chips with a stilton sauce
Thursday - Bargain bucket with gravy from KFC
Friday - indian takeaway
Saturday - beers with friends and a mixed kebab
Sunday - roast beef dinner
Monday - maybe a salad don't you think
Tuesday - a just eat Chinese with salt and pepper wings and squid, plus your other favourites
Wednesday - a celebratory fish and chip supper to welcome her home

I think you'll put on around 3kg

Breast of lamb stuffed with two big chunky proper sausages. roll it all up, shake a bit of garlic, rosemary and chilli powder on it, cook and stuff your face. Lovely.

Cheers

As mentioned further up, pulled pork.

We occasionally do a wonderfull 24hr cooked one. Covered in garlic and chillie oil, first hour full whack, then on pilot light for 23 hours with the last hour on full whack again.

Just thinking about it now is making my mouth water cloud9

Did a monster burger a little while back!

The burger was 32oz, didn't weigh the bacon. All served in a farmhouse loaf!

This goes without saying!

Burger and beers to start with, minge for my main, kebab to finish.
