powerflex bushes - how much to fit?

Anyone had a full set of powerflex bushes fitted? Mine need doing at somepoint in the future, and I've been quoted about £1000 + VAT. I realise that this is a labour intensive job but is this in the right ball park?

Offords in Cambridgeshire did mine a couple of weeks ago. Cost was a fair bit less than that (£900 inc VAT).
I understand they changed all the 24 bushes (shocks as well as wishbones) and most of the cost was labour - took them 2 days.

It was indeed Offords who quoted me the £1000 + VAT and 2 days labour.

seems they learnt from their mistake then, 900 incl vat is a bargain, i suspect they lost money on it ..

Seems a bit high to me! Try Suspensionman - 020 8866 0801 Ask for Eddy - they may be able to give you some advive?!

yeah must be terrible only being able to get away with charging £60 per hour for a bloke weilding a spanner

900 pounds minus 260 pounds of bushes leaves 640 pounds, 2 days is 16 hours so 640 / 16 is 40 per hour incl vat .. sounds a bargain to me ..

The powerflex bushes came to almost £17+VAT a piece and the labour was £420+VAT.
I have used Offords for quite a while now and always found their rates good value.
They may be playing safe by quoting £1000 as it is hard to predict how long the job will take (although they said mine was a b*st*rd).

So, what's the car like now then Chris?

The front has definately sharpened up as that was where the biggest problem was (wishbones were up against the chassis). Initially the rear felt under damped (a bit 'bouncy' over bumps), don't understand why this should be.
It feels better now after a few hundred miles, don't know if this is because I am getting used to it or because something has settled down again.
