Just watched this, Didn't see anything that made me want to pop along :-(:

Is it as bad as that video makes it look? it all looks a bit ......!
Although to be fair I thought the same about Trax until I went for myself.

Been before and its really quite boring to be honest.
Same old stuff year on year.
Lowered VAG on different wheels...sometimes big wheels, sometimes small wheels, sometimes the wheels will be colour coded to the car, sometimes they will have a funky valve caps, sometimes the wheels with have lots of camber, sometimes the cars will have air suspension, sometimes they will have a different interior., sometimes they will have different funny stickers on "four doors, more w
es" type thing.
Its very expensive to get inside the hall as well, well I thought it was.
If you live local, its worth going to look around the car park/free outside display to waste a few hours...even if its just for the glimpse of a nice tidy unscened golf or rocco.
Head over to the "photos of stanced cars" topic which has been set up recently on here for the kind of cars you will see.
I quite like the style of car (it may not sound like it) but going to a show of very similar "look i put some different wheels on and lowered my car" cars, doesn't really seem worth it.

I went along to this one today. The traffic was mental getting in. We didn't move for about an hour about a mile or two from the show.
I thought it was quite pricey (£15) - not really into the dub scene but my friend is so i popped along. I'd been before. It's a pretty decent show i think, there are the usual stickered up/lowered to the floor/silly rims/car full of speakers brigade. But there were also some really nice cars there too. Shame it was so cold, didn't really look at the stands outside.

As has been said, each to their own, if you don't like modified V.A.G cars, then don't go. But UD is one of the more prestigious meets of the year, you apply from October to try to get your car inside.
I was there with my club and we came away with 7 trophies (6 were 'Best of'). Still processing my pics, so none to show yet.

Some good photos there. I will agree that ultimate dubs is the same every year. I have been the last five years with a few friends. Its a good laugh traveling down and having a couple of drinks the night before the show. The show its self never changes that's why this year we thought it would be better to head over to dubshed. It will probably be the same cars that were in ultimate dubs over there as well though. I go to car shows now to get away from my girlfriend and have a laugh with the boys to be honest i could leave the cars out of it as there is never anything that interests me. I prefer engineered cars more than low cars with big wheels. . . Yeh they look nice but it gets boring looking at 5 cars that all look the same with different wheels and the same interior just in different colours.
My first time at UD and I really loved it. Everything was such high standard. Although I didnt look at everything as it just seemed to merge into one with very similar stuff. Loved it though but I dont think I could go every year.
Trax at Silverstone is the one for me. Car show, gymkhana, British Drift Championship + a couple guest apperances from Fredric Aasbo and D-MAC. Great show.
But the hole point of the shows is the night before, out with the boys, all similar interests, in a unusual town with a load of drinks. Great crack!
