13 plate vanquish in my village. Anyone on here?

What about a bit of an overview on the latest detailing trends.

I rate gtechniq Products (some more than others). They are very good products and they keep bringing out improved versions of their products, which is good. However, the last gtechniq product I bought was a can of exo spray sealant last year and still have most of it left. The trouble with it is, it has to be après when the car is 20c and above. Not really much use unless you have a bodyshop oven this time of year.

I've started using a sealant by a company called 22ple. This stuff is awesome in that it lasts up to 2 years and actually lays down a layer of liquid glass (as near as damn it) over the car. It's not cheap though, but probably the best sealant on the market at the minute. I have heard that the up and coming versions of gtechniq products are going to boast similar life expectancys when they are released soon too.

There are a couple of forum members cars that are currently wearing the 22ple pro signature glass coat and there will be more very soon.

Sealants seem to be the "in thing" at the min and for good reason. They are perfect for people that are unable to keep waxing their cars, but if they do, it's fine to put a layer on top. When I have time, I'll be using 22ple on my own van. Just need to find the time to polish it first. I will always be a wax guy though, as I like the way it looks. I just wished they lasted longer. To be fair though, if the car is machine polished, you would never really know the difference.

It's perfect for blowing out all the water that gets stuck behind mirrors and lights etc. It normally drives me nuts, but not anymore. I wish I had got one years ago. It's bigger brother is ideal for drying the whole car off, but this one is more for gaps, wheels, grills and engine bays etc.

I have been using a Blaster for about 10 years now, fantastic bit of kit, one of the best motorcycle cleaning tools ever.

Normally I dry the car with it after washing, just needs a wee wipe with a micro fibre here and there.

If the car is well protected, you could probably get away with using it to dry the car. However, whatever comes in contact with the paint must be as soft and as clean as possible. Make sure the towels you use are good quality. If you want a new drying towel, these are great:

Ive got the metro blaster - It dunnarf do the business. Proper lump of 50's american manufacturing. Right, enough......blokes aren't meant to get excited about a vacuum cleaner.
