Tunnel bag fitting...
Discussion
Hi all. I have bought a sprint tunnel bag, and I thought I might fit it this afternoon, but have a question, and SBFS shouldn't be bothered over a weekend, out of hours.
There are two elastic bands with hooks to hold the whole thing down, but I see four popper fixings, too. Is it recommended to rivet four studs onto the tunnel, too, to hold the sides into position, or should I not bother? I guess the poppers might make it easier to fish things out of the side pockets with one hand...
Also.... tonneau covers. Any secret tips about how tight to make the tonneau cover? Too loose, and water may gather, too tight and it would be a pig to zip up....
Maybe I worry too much....

I've had the Sprint TB for many years and I've only ever used the hooks on the elastic to hook onto the sides of the tunnel cover. No issues. I think the poppers might be provided for those that don't have a tunnel cover.
I've just fitted a tonneau recently and it was a bit awkward as the material being cold doesn't stretch as much as it does in the warmer weather. It you fit it too loosely now then it will have too much pay in the summer.

Very good. I shall leave it as is.
For the tonneau part, I think I will keep the cover indoors to be warmer before fitting. I don't think the garage will be warm until mid-June.
Thanks all. This post can now meander down page one and drop off the edge of the world. To celebrate, I may even find a pointless post from the year before last that can be re-elevated to Page 1....
