Boot release wiring

Does anyone know if the circuit for the boot release is connected to anything else?

I assume it is fused via the fuse box rather than an in line fuse some where

If you want to modify the opening procedure, it can be done in the boot, around the lh light cluster . I can send details of how to do it, if you wish.

Dont want to modify at the moment, havn't got any power going to the switch. Didnt fancy taking off the dash to trace the wiring if it can be avoided.

Next step I guess is check all the fuses

Hi David, I'd be interested in your mod if you care to PM the info to me.
My boot release gets 'twitchy' sometimes. I have to open the boot before parking because the vibrations from driving over bumps help give the electrics a good shake-down!
