I'm defecting

I've been an Astoneer now for slighty over 2 years. My first was a v8v that I picked up from Stratstone (great guys) and my second is my current DB9v which I ended up buying because my wife chewed my ears up over not having rear seats (we have a 5 yr old daughter). Anyway, having had the 9 for a few months, I'm realising that I want my weekend toy to be vulgar, brash and full of drama. I love the slender, understated elegance of my car (it's tungsten with phantom interior) and it makes a lovely noise but in all honesty i'm finding the grey-on-grey very, very dull. we've also realised that the added seats (whilst they seat my daughter in perfect comfort) don't get used very often because we rarely go out in the Aston as a family anyway. been thinking about it for a while and I decided to chop in the 9v for something slightly more vulgar and in-yer-face. i did think about getting into a v12v but i figured i should scratch the F-car itch that i seem to have developed, as such i signed the order for the car below (again, from Stratstone - so far, very good to deal with).

I think Astons are fabulous motors and once i get sick of the vulgarity (or when the back pain from the sports seats and hard suspension sets in) i'm pretty sure i'll be looking at a modern aston again. you're all fabulous people and my chief regret from aston ownership is not having met you guys in person. i reckon i'll stay active on this forum (if you guys will have me) but for now it's going to be sans aston martin.

That was exactly my point Imo the F430 is not a good looking car. Better than a 458 though.

I do believe it does. I could drive from Lancashire to London and back in my DB9 quite easily. Not sure I'll be doing much of that in the 430 though.

Caught my reflection in a shop window today while in my db9. It really is a pretty sight (not me, the car!). I'll miss that. Not sure the Ferrari's going to do that, but who knows maybe it will. I think the 430 is a lovely looking thing too.

I did consider having the 9 wrapped in something bright and cheerful like cobalt-like blue but somehow I just don't think DB9s lend themselves to being loud or shouty (unless it has all the DBS bits on it). I upgraded the alloys and nearly bought a set of clear rears from Tony to freshen it up but got seduced when I chanced past stratstone ferrari in wilmslow.

By the way. I've got some bits if anybody is interested:

Wind deflector thingy for DB9 convertibles (i never used it, in a zip up case). i believe it stops wind buffeting.
Official AM umbrella
Aston Martin batter conditioner (if it works on the f430 i'll probably just keep it)
Upgraded wheels (15 spoke). These wheels make a world of difference if you've got the standard wheels. Recently refurbed.
Dension 500 ipod/iphone/USB kit so you can listen to music on your mobile, controlled by your standard stereo

PM me if interested, I'll give you first refusal and a decent deal as it will save me the headache of having to sell it on ebay.
