Blood in urine

I went for my annual Msa medical this week and all went well until after everything had been signed off Doc returned to my urine sample and found the test stick had reacted to a v small trace of blood.

She seemed surprised and ran through a few causes with me, ranging from fairly mild to some begining with a C !
She said 9/10 are not serious, so that means 1/10 is ??

Booked in for an ultrasound and a camera up into my bladder but this will be some time before it comes through.

Wondered if anyone had similar experience or info to share ??

Yes, me. Was peeing blood for a week. Pee was as dark as coke. Now trace, but been diagnosed with kidney disease. Happy days

I had similar last year OP; noticed a few drops of blood when going for a pee. GP fast tracked me to the hospital; had an appointment within a week. Cystoscopy is none too pleasant They told me that blood in urine can be a sign of bladder cancer but more likely an infection as in my case.

Fairly regular occurrence for me - have had one bad kidney infection and lots and lots of milder and more general bladder/urinary tract infections. Got any symptoms of anything? Or literally just a trace of blood on a urine screen and nowt else going on at all?

Thanks for responses folks.
My sample had only a microscopic trace, no visual sign at all.
The slightly worrying thing is that doctor told me that a bladder infection would've shown on the test so that rules out the most preferable cause .
I feel fit and well other than a slight cold and have had no pains etc.
I wonder if a few beers on wed night could have been the cause, based on no evidence at all tho !
