Wheel alignment
Discussion
In fact, after a quick google I see halfords autocentres are doing it for £29..

Which I normally wouldn't look twice at, but has anyone been to the Autocentre in Castleford? I always see nice cars out there, I'm sure the owner or workers there have a thing for old Fords..

If you're in Castleford these are primarily an accident repair spot but may be worth a call...

They lined a CL600 up for me when a few others were struggling to fit it on the ramps!

Danny - make sure you know what your getting.
Are you wanting 'tracking' or suspension alignment...?
(As said, I dont know if Integras have proper fulylyadjustable geometry like an MX5 or kit car etc, but I presume they do).
Do you have some figures to work to, or do the garage know Integras well?
Its no slur on the garage your choosing, I dont know them. But if your paying £60 for tracking, and the car is properly adjustable ,its a waste, as 'proper' suspension alignment will only be about £100.

Ah, to be honest guys i'm only really looking for the front wheels' toe to be corrected
may be a waste of time getting the full geo setup as i'm not 100% I'll be keeping my current suspension/wheel setup, and I probably will polybush it at some point.
I think that hawkeye laser system at castleford seems a good shout what with the print outs and that for the service book

I used Station Garage and was more than happy..
It was a bit impersonal.. Drop your keys and off you go. I wanted to hang about with the lad who did it, so I could have a chat and understand it a bit.
When it was done though I collared the guy who did it (iirc Jason) and he took me straight in and showed me the gear and explained how it all worked etc.
Maybe if you get to speak to him first you may get to hang about.
Too job though. Couldn't fault.

Just set mine up on the race car with four axle stands, a ball of string, tape measure and the iPad with an inclinometer app on it.
Set string lines up down either side of the car parallel to each other and a couple of inches from the wheels and parallel to the car as well.
Set camber first with the inclinometer, then do tracking by measuring in from string to front and back of each wheel.
It's a piece of cake to do, even easier if there's two of you, the trick is knowing what you want it set at; but you know that already as you will need to tell the bloke in the garage what you are after when you take it in!
Be a bit careful when setting the lines up, particularly if the front and rear track are different.

Previously taken our race car to "cornering force " near killinghall who were very good but this time have used andy turner engineering in kirkstall. Have to say Andy seems great in terms of price, knowledge, reliability etc. His unit is full of stock car trophies, it's immaculately clean which says a lot, and the mix of cars/work he has on the go bodes well also. The tig welding he did for us at same time is also great!
