Hi
Jumped over from the tvr forum.
looking to buy a SLK55 AMG.Found one in that looks good and would take the wifes SLK230 in part ex
Only thing is I noticed the SLK55 badge on the back is missing. Is this alright or could it mean there has been
some bodywork done?
Any guidance on buying one of these would be much appreciated.
Regards
Trevor

customers have the option for there car to be de-badged prior to sale.

but i do like the way you think, if you can get hold of a paint depth reader you can test it.

Hi Trevor has it got the AMG on the other side?

I've moved from a Tamora (loved it) to a Porsche (not me) to a 55 and love it.
Which car are you looking at?

Hi Barry

Thinking of doing the same - currently running 3 cars ( TVR, Fiat Coup and VW ) and would like to get down to 2. SLK55AMG looks a good bet, wife likes SL look better but think its a bit heavy.

Am also in WSM - fancy a coffee and chat sometime

Hi Andy

Sure anytime, I'm by Sainsburys.
What TVR are you running now?
I'm very impressed with the 55 the engine is epic. I did look at the SL but for me there too dated I wanted something more modern. It's just a pity the SLK is not supercharged

Thanks Barry

I,m in town on hillside above Boulivard.

Had the the Chimaera 500 for 7 years now, love it. At the point of either selling now while it is in good shape, or will need to start a refurb fund for some time in the near future.

Wifes car is in fab condition, probably one of the best Fiat Coup 20v turbo around but does not get used very much.

Reason for thinking getting rid of the TVR is that it is now so difficult to find the space to drive it in the sweet spot, so looking for something a bit more civilised, with the ability to potter around in a 30 car line and to put a smile on your face when cicumstances permit.

Perhaps meet up at the next Avenue Club
