Nobles left information for you

Had this email off a mate who I'm guessing works in DVLA data guess.

NOBLES,
M12,
273 produced
232 In Census
24 Have A Write-Off Cat
Others (May include M12's as there are 142 Unspecified)
187 produced
146 In Census
6 Have A Write-Off Cat
A lot are unspecified as low volume marques are not very well coded.

Thanks Mark, that more or less agrees with what numbers I have (assuming that the 'others' include M10s and M600s). It would have been good had I been able to check my information on what Nobles were originally produced against that held by Noble Automative, but that doesn't appear to be possible. mate said:

Unfortunately it shows that I have a lot more Nobles to track down for the register too as I can only add cars to it that I have a reasonable amount of information on (so as to avoid getting duplicate records in it). Hopefully when I've made the new (and hopefully improved
) register available, which will include all cars and owners that I know about, people will help me by matching up the records, to give a more complete view of which cars are still around.

An afterthought though! Weren't there over 1,000 M12s (of all types) produced? I know the above excludes exports but does it tally?
Not that I can find. AFAIK there's a further 220 made for the US market, plus a few SA ones, giving a total of 670ish M12/M400s made. There were five (I think) M10s produced as well. I'm not sure about Rossions, but I think there were at least 61 made. I'm not going to speculate about M600 numbers as that's a can of worms!
