Steering Rack Differences - Chimaera, Griffith and Cerbera

The Chimaera, Griffith and Cerbera all share the same rack bar 'TVR H0610', so what is the difference between the racks?

They're all the same ergo there is no difference.

That is correct, 2 turns lock to lock on the Cerb, but how can the others different if they share the same rack bar?Basil Brush said:

From the photos I've seen, the pinion housing looks different on the chim and griff racks.
RG list the same 336mm track rod TVR H0290 for all three cars, however they also list a 306mm track rod TVR H0738 for Cerbs, Tuscans, Tamoras etcFrom the photos I've seen, the pinion housing looks different on the chim and griff racks.
So perhaps the only difference is upper part of the pinion?
Track rods wont make a difference to how many turns.
I think some people are confused as to how many turns lock to lock a rack can produce. It largely depends on what wheels are fitted and what spacers are fitted below the gaiters restricting the lock!
What is 2.2 turns on one rack can be made to 2.4 turns just by loosing a spacer.

It's the same with the Tuscan MK1 compared to the Mk2. People talk about the gearing being different as the turns lock to lock varies, but it's down to a change in design of the top wishbone allowing the wheels to turn further.I think some people are confused as to how many turns lock to lock a rack can produce.
