Running in instructions are stay within 4500k and not break 85mph.
That's pretty difficult in this car.

I reckon I've had a fair number of fast cars but this is a whole new level.
Too fast for road. Quick blip on the fast pedal and it's up to 70-80mph...."whoaaaa brake brake."
The noise is epic. The gear settings I've still to get used to. I guess I've been sitting in comfort mode as anything else the car wants to change way past 4500k. Of course, couldn't resist a couple of blips passed this. Sport mode the car sounds very aggressive.

Only extras are DAB radio (it's great), ashwood and reversing camera.
I didn't spec the car - dealership did. 19s would be nice but I was never that bothered.

350 miles and counting....

Looks fantastic, and I think the 18" wheels look great. I think Darth Vader would be happy with both the performance and the look of that car. Awesome.

Regarding running in, I didn't follow the guidelines and instead utilised the full performance after approx ~350 miles (I ran the engine through the rev range on the drive home from the dealership). The weekend before last I attended an MB Club dyno day. My car has 2700 miles on it and there was another C63 in attendance with 20k miles. My 'young' car recorded 455bhp, compared with 452bhp for the 20k miler.

I've got to wait until July for my Coupe. I've ordered black 19" (mainly for aesthetic reasons) but I do love the 18" also. Any comments on ride difference between 18 and 19. Non PP for me so just std suspension. Any info appreciated.
It also looks like its ok to enjoy the revs, once the oil is warm, pretty much straight away, as all engines are technically run in at manufacturer ( or so I've read)' so why do manufacturers insist on run in limits to spoil the fun?

Mainly to save the diff more than the engine. As its a friction item it needs to be run in for a while and then flushed to remove swarf from the mechanism. You dont get that hastle with Quaife!!

Mine doesn't have the diff but I did get a letter about free service on the diff...should I have one.

No, I don't think it applies to non diff cars. Yours is electronic, uses the rear brakes to adjust grip, and thus requires little maintenance.
