I saw Sonny a few years ago play at the Barbican - superb. Coleman Hawkins and Lester Young were very nearly wobbled from the top spot as my favourite players.

I've been giving some time to listening to 'Indiscretions' by Joe Zawinul - maybe not your type of thing....

Also Jeff Beck at Ronnie Scotts. Yum.

Zawinul > 8:30 is my fav Weather Report album.

Rollins must be seen to be believed the amount of ideas coming from his head is amazing.

The 1st time I saw him - '88 - he started with a 40 mins version of Duke of Iron. The crowd went completely nuts.

The trio stuff he did rocks my boat - although The Bridge must be one of my top 10 fav albums.
