Just doing a few bits on the car ,removed the connector from the plenum ,its the one which vents from the carbon canister .

Is it normal for oil to poor out the hole in the plenum .

Must be gunged up in there .Why would it be breathing so heavy .banghead

Pull the plenum off and check how much oil is in the trumpet base, check you breather pipes are clean and your flame trap is clean sound to me like you're flame trap might be blocked with oil and its sucking said oil into the plenum

Pipes are all clear ,I can easly blow down the pipe through the flame trap .. Chilliman had the same problem .I need a solution !

Can the breathing effect combustion and can it damage valves and gue the heads up ..I always thought a breathing engine was a worn engine .

Burning excessive oil affects the octain of the fuel mixture and does clog stuff up, check to see what vacuum your pulling, an easy solution would be a catch tank, basically all your doing is sucking oil vapour into the engine so you need to put something between the rocker cover and the plenum to slow the oil and let it drop out, which is what the flame trap wire mesh is supposed to do but does a poor job IMHO

It'll effect combustion if the oil is drawn into the chambers from the plenum; for one thing it will lower the knock threshold of the charge and it will also increase deposits - one of the reasons many do away with the PCV system and vent breathers to catch tanks, and also a good justification for keeping trumpets. All engines breathe but crankcase pressure can be a sign of wear-resultant blow-by (not always). First thing I'd do is make sure the mushroom vent on the rear of the nearside rocker is not blocked (that's important for equalising pressures and oil can be drawn up on over-run too)

Got you ! so i still connect the breather to the plenum and the other side of the throttle , just break the pipe from the rocker cover box to the plenum with a catch tank ..Will i still need a breather on the catch tank .

Do you know the diameter of the breather pipe ,hard the find one that wide .

How do i check vacume ?

Did you say your air filter was being sucked in side out
If your not getting the air flow throw the filter can it be pulling out of the breather and dumping the oil vapour in your plenum
Thinking out loud

Doubt it, as the two pipes are linked before and after the butterfly, and its at idle where you get most vacuum, a blocked filter you would be down on power
