Hi, sorry about a what car as the first post, its just that I'm lost for ideas.

My Mum is after a car to replace her 2004 Kia Rio

Shes so fussy its making it very awkward, this is the list of requirements:

5 doors 5 seats
Sporty look
Decent engine
Preferably '10 plate or newer
Good rear visability or parking sensors as shes vertically challenged laugh
Good boot size to fit buggy in
Good rear leg room
From a dealer, under 6k
And last of all, not over 4 metres long

As you can see, quite a large list!

We've had a look at the new shape clio, seem to be able to find them in budget but not any larger than a 1.2
Dacia seems alright, shes happy to pay a bit more for new but would prefer a ex-demo car, none about at the minute
New kia rio is a no go, nothing she likes about that.

Thats about all, if anyone can give any suggestions it would be much appreciated!

Thanks

The Dacia does seem to be the best option IMO, but the Hyundai i20 is worth a shout out.

Cheers for the reply, another problem I forgot to mention is, and I know it sounds stupid, the angle of leg to pedal if you know what I mean. Because shes short she has to have the seat right up and right forward so with cars such as the i20 and suzuki swift, part of the dash rubs on her shins as she operates the pedals. This really isnt easy!

Maybe its time to consider the "older generation" friendly Honda Jazz then. hehe
Sport looks is one thing it doesn't have, granted, but it does seem to meet the other requirements.

I wish it was that easy, catches her shins on a part of the lower dash frown

Cheers anyway

Nononono. OP said that car must be "Good size to fit buggy in" not "Good size buggy...."

If she's flexible to going back to an 08/09, you can pick up a nissan note.

Probably, but cracking cars. My mate has inherited his parents 2007 1.3 Jizz....... Horribly old fashioned thing, but so cheap, nippy about town and he uses it as a van. He's 24.

A note seems a good option but for a manual they're quite steep, I've found an 09 grande punto with 39k on it for 3500 so comes in very nicely under budget. Anyone got any experience with these? I had a mk1 and mk2 punto and liked both of them so this could be an option?

Cheers
