Heads Up - Aldi Compressor And Air Tools - Thursday

Hi,

Thought some of you might be interested to know that on Thurs 14th Aldi are going to be selling air compressors and air tools again.

I bought one a few years ago and it's great for tyres, air beds, inflatable swimming pools, painting the fence, shed etc

Up to £100 now and the tools are extra

Got to admit not all the stuff we've bought off the aldi special aisle down the years has been up to much.

ive got one and very happy with it for the price , also has a decent warrenty iirc

I bought one a few years ago, when they were circa £65, for that price they are ok. I wouldn't spend £100 on one.

When it died I bought one of these on Machine Mart's VAT free days, it is massively quieter than the Aldi one and holds pressure in the receiver for weeks on end, where as the Aldi was empty inside a week. At £100 ish for both, there is no comparison, the Clarke is a much superior unit.

I paid 160 for 50 L Wolf with some basic tools, so a 25 litre without at a hundred quid isn't a massive bargain, not bad but not a must have purchase

I must admit when I bought mine it was circa £70 with the tools but everything has gone up so much in recent years I presumed it was still comparatively cheap

Mine hasn't had that much use but must be 4+yrs old and is still going I've never touched anything on it and it holds pressure for months.

Also the 3yr Gtee is better than most (all?)

I was going to post that they have them back in today (13/03/2014)

However, I took an early morning trip to my local Aldi - could not see them.

I was told they had been withdrawn from sale by the manufacturer - in a "last minute emergency" move.
