The cable on the accelerator broke on saturday. How easy is it to fit??. It snapped at the pedal end. (to much of a heavy right foot)!!!

Easy job, but they normally snap due to incorrect settings, ie more travel on the cable than on the mechanism so you are pulling on the cable even though its reached its full throttle position.

This also may explain slight hesitation as well?? when accelerating hard/easing off then picking it up again?
