My car has a few creaks coming from the center console. And a vibration (almost like a piece of carbon fibre resonance) at circa 70 mph from drivers door. Anyone has a similar experience? Am particularly fussy with this kind of things though. Irritates me highly.

Yep

Some of mine are temperature related and disappear when the car is warm. I've got a few annoying ones that I haven't been able to solve after stripping down the easier bits of the dash myself.

I'm going to have it looked at when I get my service at the end of the month. Hopefully there will be some answers but it does seem like a completely rattle free interior is a very very rare thing in the world of AM.

Eric....don't ask me why because I'm really not that bright, but......would it be reasonable to assume a speed related noise 'may' be related in some way to the wheels / tyres

And as for centre console.....I'm sure you've checked for the obvious cause ie a CD or a loose knob ??

I had similar issues and back to the dealer a few times but in the end after around 18 months, I managed to track the vibration rattle/buzz down to the roof lining above the windscreen on the passenger side. I was convinced it was in the passenger door because I thought that was where it was coming from and it was dependent on the road surface..

Bloody hell, do the DBSs rattle?

Just had a few centre console creaks sorted under warranty

- Ski slope replaced
- Sat Nav Lid replaced
- Drivers side Window creaking after winding up

Seems to be ok now

How long have you got?
All gone now though after 6 visits to the dealer and one from the factory

Pretty much every AM I've ever been in or driven (a lot) has had some form of rattle/squeak.
