Er, Oh, sorry confused

A) I normally bimble about quite happily unless there's a big space of open road in front of me and I feel like blowing off a couple of quid of finest unleaded.

B) I have no idea when or where you are talking about and I didn't even know we had a Tesco in Harrogate apart from the mini thing right in the town centre.

C) I have no idea what car you drive but in most cars, with a Full Fat in the rear view mirror, due to their sheer size, they do sometimes look closer than they actually are.

Anyway, if I was driving like an arse I apologise, it does occasionally happen.

You were close enough because all I could see was headlights and no front numberplate out my rear view mirror!
Thought that might be the case. On a six and a half foot high Range Rover that'll have been about 5 yards behind you.

2868, don't you drive that white 320d with two winters on the front and summers on the back?

That's not important. What we really want to know is...

Have you trimmed that ivy yet?

I thought these PH type threads had died long ago - well done!! smile

A little levity, in these double dip times, is rather welcome

Well, I'm just mightily relieved that it appears I wasn't driving like a twit after all. According to OP's last statement, I simply pulled out after the he had bimbled past and accelerated as normal, inadvertently got a little close to the Op's car for his comfort, then eased off to my normal few car's distance.

The fact that the OP saw fit to report this total non-event on the World Wide Web (for his own gratification I assume) has at least had one positive outcome: it got me to cut my ivy which was, to be fair, first pointed out by my PH brethren last summer. So a result after all biggrin

Oh, my Testarossa has gone to Australia. I wish I had gone with it.

Thanks to the OP for this thread and therefore to Burriana and the ivy as you have reminded me that I need to trim mine when I go home this weekend aswell!

Whereas I'm thinking this is one simply just of those times when you say out loud; "FFS get a life!"

I don't think we are going to agree on this Earth shattering non-event so best we probably let it die a natural death eh?
