I think I bought a Supra TT (320bhp?) when I was 23 (ish). It didn't last long but I think that's my best.

My highest BHP was the last car, a Jaguar XJ8 (240ish). It wasn't the quickest I've owned though.

Depends what the OPer really meant - top speed, quickest accelerating, BHP, BHP per tonne... or giraffes.

For example my 520 BHP per ton only had 230 BHP and did 0-60 in well under 3 secs. Much quicker than my 911 turbo s... Which was faster at 197 mph.

Not really sure how I'm supposed to vote here. Maybe you should devise an age/bhp based formula so that the vote actually has any meaning whatsoever.

I got a 216bhp XJ6 3.2 at 20, a 240bhp S2000 at 25, and a 280bhp CL420 at 27. Not really terribly impressive, but they have all been fast enough for me.
I also briefly (2 months) had a Rover 620Si at 17 (132bhp).

In any case, bhp/tonne is as important a factor. The S2k has far more bhp per tonne than either of the other two.

Don't, 192bhp at 21, from an E46 328i with standard inlets

I did have a 150bhp Audi V6 at 18, though, which I'm fairly pleased with.

Also, OP, the table doesn't make much sense - I'm 25...do I fall in 20-25 or 25-30? Or both?
