Mk1 Focus Tyres
Discussion
I need to get a couple of tyres for my GF's 1.6 petrol mk1 Focus. It's got 195/60/15 on at the moment, any recommendations for what to replace them with? Preferably a good combination of not-ditchfinders/cheap/fairly long lasting?
It's just used as a commuter tool, so needn't be anything super-sticky!
TIA

I have a Focus of similar vintage, have done for 4 years.
During this time i've had the following:
Kumho Ecsta KH31, decent all weather performance and reasonable wear rate but quite noisy.
Falken ZE912, good dry performance, wet performance acceptble. Lasted about 25 thousand miles.
Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3, excellent all weather performance, quiet on the road, but alas lasted only around 20 thousand miles.
Just a note to say that the Goodyears were unsuprisingly the most expensive, and to be honest a bit overkill my my 1.8 Focus.
