Efes Taverna on Princess Street is a fun place, but probably not really do-able if you're off to the theatre. Just up the road is a Chinese, Tai Wu, which is OK but if you head for the library and turn left Gio, an Itialian place is very nice. Probably ten-fifteen minute walk.
