Purely by coincidence, I was listening to Iron Maiden on my break at work this morning. Not my thing at all, but sad all the same.

Was just speaking about him on Sunday, really sad and one of my fav drummers. A true talent who probably will never get the recognition he deserves

Ah man, that's very sad. His drumming on The Prisoner is probably my favourite in any Maiden tune.

I think it was sad and tragic enough long before his death. A brilliant drummer and all round nice guy getting MS and becoming a shadow of the man he was.

This was the real death IMO.

Wasn't he sacked from Maiden? Not sure why.

His illness was much later on.

Although the drumming on the first 3 LP's was great, I'd have to say that Nicko's was/is better, that guy is amazing.

I think he had difficulty with the touring schedule, it's not for everyone.

I actually prefer his drumming to Nico's. Less technical for sure but more interesting somehow with more feel to it.

A sad loss indeed, I adore the early Maiden albums, so at least his legacy lives on within those records!

Very sad loss. I definitely preferred Clive to Nicko. Their first 2 albums are still some of my all-time favourites.
