Discussion
Hi guys
Right, lets begin.... I have a met black E46 M3 Cab, i have owned it 6yrs, i bought it with 3k on the clock, i am the 2nd owner.
It has;
AC schnitzner full exhaust
" " short shift
" " strut brace
" " pedal kit
" " over mats
" " 20" wheels excellent conti tires
Hard top
sat nav
premium sound
dension i pod link
xenons
black leather
etc etc etc
As you can imagine,it`s pretty much mint.
its now done 14300miles
Its garaged all the time, very rarely seen rain.
I just don`t use it, its a 3rd car, it sounds great, drives lovely, looks beautiful.
Whats it worth, any ideas?
I will not give it away, but seems a waste, just sitting in the garage.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated
Steve

Hi,
I'd say take off the AC Schnitzer items and return to standard items and ensure the car looks as clean as possible, take good high quality, clear pictures with a full detailed and comprehensive description and put it up for what you think it's worth. Sell the ACS items separately to get more 'cashback' or perhaps bargain them into a deal with those who come to view.
Asking prices are all over the place and selling prices are also similarly all over the place too. Ultra low mile cars like these don't come along too often, but they are out there. In enthusiast circles, the first question is what's the condition of it with all the perishable items as it's just been stood around doing nothing for extensive periods and thus, has it still been properly looked after or not - from that, enthusiasts will try to knock the price down.
If you leave the ACS items on, you'll limit your potential market by quite a lot. 20 inch wheels on an E46 M3 can be done very nicely but usually, the ACS wheels that are on these cars are the 'later' Type 4's etc which to me and many other's don't flow nicely with the car's more smoother shape/design.
Have a look through the various places to sell and pitch yours at good pricing to get good/serious interest.
Cheers, Dennis!

Thanks for the replies
All of this stuff was fitted by BMW at purchase , the previous owner just went through the ACS catalogue
And loaded the car.
I do not want to get involved in removing/replacing anything, it certainly is a one off car, in lovely condition.
It was registered Sept 2004, I have all keys etc for it
Just wondered what you guys thought it was worth?
Not really fussed about selling, but it does seem a bit of a waste , just sitting there.

Got to be one of the lowest mileage 04 plates out there. If its overall condition reflects the mileage, then it'll be worth a premium. The ACS stuff may not help it, but a "normal" 04 plate cabriolet will be £9-12k or thereabouts. You could probably ask £15-17k for it. Have you considered having a chat with Hexagon BMW? Might be something they'd be interested in.

All BMW dealer were selling ACS stuff from their showroom back in 2004, this tie-in only ended a few years ago (2010 iirc) when BMW introduced their 'Performance' range and Rossiters went back to being sole UK distributors of ACS in the UK.
Does anyone know if BMW will be offering better brakes for E46 M3 as part of their Performance range in the future :-) ?I'm sure a dealer would price it high. Hexagon have a low spec low miler for ~ £23k
If the ACS was fitted from new, as mine was, I would leave it alone as it is an OEM enhancement.
IMO if you were to sell it privately, price it at £16.5k and expect to get close to that and maybe more in summer.
I love mine. GLWTS if that's your intention.

I`ll probably end up keeping it, I just wondered what it`s worth in todays market, i paid 34k for it approx 6 yrs ago
photo`s don`t really do it justice.
It`s a nice toy to have in the garage, but the mrs keeps giving me grief [?] about it! saying that we could do something else with the money. i.e. more bloody shoes!
Not going to advertise it, but if anyone is interested, PM me.
