Starting problems

As per topic having problems starting.
Have elise 160 sport was taking 2 secs yesterday to start up but today took about five secs.
When i turn the ignition on the battery and oil light stay on, then when it eventually starts they go out.
I have just bought the car from dealer and it has just had service with no problems.
Does any one have any ideas?

Yeah - sport 160's are notorious for it, specially when it gets cold. Part of the package - mine stalls all the time until it is up to temperature too... see

Another thing that I found helped was fitting a new battery- Varta blue dynamic seems to be popular, National tyres 40 quid, easy. The OEM battery, if you still have it is crap, and after 4 years even crapper. After being left on a forecourt the battery has no doubt gone flatter then usual, and they loose capacity particularly when left to drain for a while......
other then that - sport 160's are the mutts nutts.
