350 SL. B service. in Scotland. Crazy price

My 350Sl needed its B service. I thought , fine. Should've too bad. WRONG! Called local Merc dealer. They wanted over £1000. No way!
So, Called round a couple of indies in and around the West of Scotland and then someone recommended Planet Performance. Never heard of then but gave them a call anyway. Of the three companies I spoke to they made the most sense. Immediately they were advising me what the B service entailed and what it would cost as an absolute maximum. The price? Less than half what the Merc Dealer had quoted
They picked the car up in the morning returned it in the afternoon. They even stamped a new service manual that they provided for me. Merc don't do stamp able service manuals now.
In the last two days I've had three calls from two Merc dealers. I guess they're desperate for the business. Now they know why they ain't getting it!
All in all one happy bunny.
