Pet Shop Boys leave Perlophone and announce new album!
Discussion
Pet Shop Boys have announced today that they're parting company with label Parlophone after 28 years and have a new deal with Kobalt Label Services. A new album called 'Electric' will be released in June and is produced by Stuart Price. Interesting to see a new album out so quickly after their last one. Maybe something they've been working on for a while, on the quiet, and keen to get started with once they'd delivered the last of their obligations to Parlophone.

I listened to it for the first time this morning on my iPod. They performed most of it at their gig in Manchester a few weeks ago, but it was so loud that you couldn't really appreciate the finer points of the music. Seems to have quite an '80s and '90s sound in places, with plenty of shades of new romantic analogue synths and breakdancing sounds! Favourite song is 'Love is a Bourgeois Construct'. Love the lyrics.
