Places to purchase hoses...
Discussion
The work and prep for summer continues (a break in the weather would be nice)...
Anyway, where is the best place to get the silicon hoses etc? I've seen the ACT web site. Nice stuff, but it's a little on the expensive side; loaded with Value Added TVR Tax. I keep getting little leaks throughout my coolant system and the PAS hoses could do with changing. I'd like to get the induction sorted too.
Is there anywhere these can be sourced and modded without the TVR tax?
Cheers

For power steering hoses you won't beat these, especially the hose that replaces the u-bend. Nice guy to deal with as well.

I used these people for my replacment's, prices and service are good, the hoses have a longer leg than other manufactures/suppliers so you are able to trim them to suit.

TVR Power also do them, not cheap though. Have them on mine and they seem v.good quality.

It's that TVR "tax" as you put it that keeps the specialists going!
One phone call to Tim att ACT, it's a no brainer for me!
Hmmm, I'm not sure I'm of the same opinion. They're useful and necessary, but it is the specialist item they stock or knowledge they possess that helps them demand a premium. If 'none specialist' stuff is available elsewhere without the premium then you may as well pocket the difference. Add to this some of the silly flat rate courier charges and some prices start to look a bit silly. A pack of 1.50 O rings from a specialist... 4.50, 6.96 flat rate courier charge, plus VAT.One phone call to Tim att ACT, it's a no brainer for me!
I'm in business. I'm a specialist, but I'm not prepared to give money away where I can save it, neither are my clients. VFM still counts!
