Can anyone help, im posted to NI fairly soon and have been quoted skyhigh insurance premiums so far, so will have to sell, probably get Tuscan on return if funds are there. Have a chim at present and was wondering if any of the garages that advertise to sell your TVR for you on sale or return are any good or are they a waste of time, have to do something soon as im leaving iminently. Please help??

Price it right and you'll sell it within hours on PH And probably for more than a dealer will offer you.

Be very very very carefull when dealing with any garage that offers to sell your car for you as your agent or otherwise. I know of instances where the garage has gone bust and the seller ended up arguing with the liquidators as to who had title. Clearly the opportunity to sell a car that they did not first have to pay for, would be very attractive for a garage in financial diffilcuties?

Also I know of an instance where the garage sold the car very quickly (by offering car at a knockdown price) but paid the seller nothing! The seller took legal advice and was told that the only way to recover the money was to take the garage to court and the likely legal costs meant that it was not worth pursuing.

Even if the action had succeeded the garage would have folded leaving the seller last in line for his money behind the inland revenue, the vatman and the bank. Plus he would still have to pay the legals bill.

Chimaeras built between late September and early December -ish 96, had the newer look front and back ends, but the old style dash and wing mounted door openers.

It is the 96 1/2 model as we used to call them

One of my customers ordered one as the old shape and when he went to the factory..bingo it has the latest rear and front scoop.

So for around 4 months (don't quote me exactly) they were this combination, I think they still had the silver plungers on the rear wings too.

Steve,

A great car is worth waiting for and I feel it's only fair, knowing your high standards to select only the best..(as I know how much you can hassle me when things go wrong!)

It will be a treat indeed and you will need to think up a new name for the next one.

I'm on the case as I know how itchy you get without a TVR!!

Well since he's here (who rubbed that bloody lamp? ), you could do a lot worse than let Jamer look at it.

I wouldn't hesitate to either buy or sell a car through him. Indeed, my Griff is an Agger car (see profile).

Honourable dealings all the way through

Looks like an OK price. I bought a slightly newer one earlier this year with the new dash etc 97 model, 31k with pas and fsh and paid a little under what you are looking for.

I reckon at 11995, no offers it would dissapear.

good luck with it.

Scratch scratch. Maybe a good name would be the Aggernaut?
