Second time this has happened. Long term user no free ad?

Am I being dumb - I can't submit an advert either. I go into Classifieds and am asked to log in, even though I already am logged into the forum.
I assumed that perhaps my password for the classifieds is different to the forum, so asked for a reminder but haven't received one quite some time later.
Apologies if I'm just being stupid but last time I sold through PH was when the old classifieds were still in operation and it was quite obvious.

It used to be free, and cost PH money for hosting/bandwidth. I'd still rather pay £10 to advertise here than on autotrader.

Sorry for the thread hijack. I have just tried to reset my password in the classified section but have not received any reset email. Additionally I am not able to register for the classified section as it says that the user name is already taken. Any chance you could let me know what is happening? Is someone else using "my" username? Or did I register on the classifieds with an email address that is different from my forum email address?TIA

Yes, at the moment it won't let you register because we don't allow classified usernames to be the same as existing forum names. We had a bit of an oversight there in thinking that forum members might eventually want to become classifieds users with the same username. TIA
So basically we're looking to fix that in the next few weeks. Until then, if you register with your e-mail address as your username I can then go in and change your username to your forum username.

Ah right! ... Cool .... Have registered with the same email address as that used in the forums. I also only said i wasnt impressed not cursing PH and bad mouthing.
I've had mixed results with PH classifieds hence the desire for a free ad. The motor i am selling isnt Autotrader material as its a bit specialised.
I understand there being a cut-off date but its a bit annoying that i had the feature then had it removed. Thats all, now go take your meds.

I'm not sure how this is possible. Did you used to have a different forum account?I've just had a look at the OP's posting history, and I can't find the thread, so I must be mistaken in thinking it was the OP.
