it's only 8 weeks time.Well I'm back after a 5 hour round trip. I didn't buy it!
The only reason was the guy phoned me when I was ten minutes away to see what time I was arriving. By the time I'd got there he'd pulled it out of the garage to put it on a four post ramp. Wheel spun off the ramp and smashed the front valance in when the jacking beam came off and upwards.
I was not happy. Spent 20 mins trying to jack it off the beam and get it safely on the ramp.
Anyway that was enough for me.
The car
Body work was pretty good all in all. The bonnet was cracked on both sides due to struts being very strong and bonnet being forced closed a few times.
I didn't see the new hood material but it's brown apparently
The lights don't work and where in the boot.
The near side rear outrigger body mounting plate has definitely gone. Hard to tell about the rest without taking the sills off. The internal seatbelt roof mounts are rotten at the bottom. ( only checked near side)
Interior is ok but passenger head rest is trashed.
Wheels are very good could get away without refurb!
Dash veneers all trashed.
One of the manifolds has a dent in and they are very rusty
He has been running it to move the car around. But he has had the water pump belt missing. This worried me most. So I left.
I still think the car is a reasonable buy but it's to much for me but only due to the new extra bodywork I wasn't expecting.
