Forget all the "artistic" footage shot outside of Loeb's car. This one video shows why Loeb is a multiple World Rally champion. Never has a stage of the Monte looked more like a Sunday afternoon drive through some mountainous sections of South East France.

I've mate who works with the Citroen WRC team, he mentioned that Loebs brake pads start at 10mm thick. At the final service of the day at the end of every leg, Loeb's pads will be less than 10% worn. The likes of Hirvonen's will be between 40-50% worn . . . .

It'd be interesting to see Loeb's telemetry for brake pressure and duration, along with his throttle angle and duration traces, steering inputs etc, then overlay them with those of Hirvonen and Sordo.

I watched 2 mins and found it incredibly boring, so turned it off. Which i suppose is rallyings problem now.

I'd expect in a few of those hairpins it was used.

No one said it was going to be exciting It's an object lesson in how to pilot a current spec WRC through a stage as neatly and quickly as humanely possible. A bit like watching Rossi or Micky Shoe at their peak, often boring, but awe inspiring nontheless.

I got bored. I used to love WRC. I even have some old McKlein rally calendars stashed away (think they are wortheless tbh ) But since seemingly all the manufactures pulled out, and it wasn't on mainstream TV, anmd Loeb won everything always. I lost interest in it.
