Had an on off intermittent missfire, felt like fuel starvation. Have been out in the old girl much so not really thought about it. Driving back from the MOT 2 mins from home I though she was going to die, but cleared again and since then I have been waiting for the weather to clear.
Anyway, while waiting got a few service items and bored waiting for the rain to stop I bit the bullet and changed the fuel filter.
Wouldn't ya know it, while changing the fuel filter I noticed the fuel pipe from he pump was to short and kinked badley..... So thought got it... Obviously the fuel pipe is restricting fuel...
So £7 at halfords and replaced the pipe, which ment taking the cover off the fuel pump so while there I thought quick check of cables etc only to find the fuel pump cables were loose? The nuts were hand tight just so the terminals could move...
So all done and purring...
