W211 E55 help needed!

Had the car for a short while, very impressed with it. However, done around 1000 miles, and in that time the car has asked for 2 litres of oil. I can't see it throwing any out of the back or under the bonnet, was wondering has anyone got a clue what it could be? Was wondering whether the sensor could be borked? Oh where's the simple dipstick now...

The manual states that it will need 1 litre of oil per thousand miles. However after eleven thousand miles in two years mine has never asked for a drop. The lack of dipsticks is a real pain I agree, for the auto trans also.

I would get the oil level sensor checked first, as over filling can do damage. If you can't find a leak, then I'd get a compression test done. Either valve seals or cylinder bore wear, but I think you would notice excessive blue smoke from the exhaust. Generally the AMG 55K engine is described as bulletproof.

I drive my e55 like its stolen and yes I do have to top up often , how do you drive?

Lol a few but I have seen this on many stock cars as well so to me this is common.
But it will be a good idea for someone to check it unless there is some kind of leak
