Thanks to Optima Batteries I'm presently competing in the annual Kit Car Magazine Run and Gun competition at Gateway International Raceway near St Louis, MO USA.
After 2 of 3 timed runs in the Road Course Competition my GTR and I are 6 seconds ahead of the nearest car in the Street Tire Class.
Out of the approx 60 drivers competing in all the classes, I'm 6 tenths of a second away from fastest overall time.
Autocross (aka: slalom, gymkhana) today along with one more Road Course timed session and Drag Racing tomorrow.

Nice job Jeff! It's good to hear we're well represented. Now go out there and find that 6 tenths of a second!

I just got back, this event is like the National Championship of the USA for kit/component cars. It was my first time at this event. In addition to the usual Cobras, Super Sevens and such there were also 3 lola replicas, and a couple GT 40's from Roaring 40's.
I won six 1st place and "Top Dog" awards for Road Course, Autocross, Drag Racing.
I beat all the street tired small block cars as well as the DOT Race tired cars.
Dennis Ohltoff previous winner of Car and Driver's One Lap and Run & Gun was only one second faster on the Road Course driving a Superformance Brock Coupe with Michelin slicks and a Roush Racing 408 cid engine.
One more important fact, Mine was the only car driven to the event (approx 350 miles each way).
During the event I ran 14 passes down the drag strip. On the way home I stopped at another Drag Event ran 8 more passes and set low ET with 10.86@133 mph (weather was much cooler).
Lots of pictures were taken by the magazine's Editor Eric Geisert.
Ed Zinke of Primedia was also there. Here's some links from last years event,
I'd expect a bit more for this years event.

Cool. Jeff drives this car everywhere and parks it. "
It's a car." that smashes eveerything else available. Look forward to seeing yet another article RE: your car Jeff.
