Never used one before and not got one in front of me (which might make it much clearer) but would it be feasible to take an oil feed (for a turbo, say) from a Mocal non-thermostatic sandwich plate without using it for a cooler circuit? I suspect not as I imagine it must just divert all flow around the cooler loop but just trying to come up with an alternative to Tee-ing off the pressure sender on a Rv8 and it would be handy of the outlet on a Mocal could be reduced down and the return just not used. Could one be modified to achieve this, if anyone is familiar with the layout?

Is the oil filter currently easy to get at?
If not then a remote filter housing would provide a good take-off point. More expence but would solve two problems.

It's actually not too bad... ironically, it would be worse with a sandwich plate as there is a chassis member that might mean the normal height filter would then be very tight (there are shorter alternatives). I may end up using a cooler in due course anyway but am trying to limit the project creep!

Aim was to avoid the vulnerability of a 'T' piece hanging on the pressure sender port but just found a very short stainless one so will give that a whirl
