Just curious I've done a half marathon as many have but have just been looking at The World Records achieved for 100,000 meters and 24 hour rows - Anyone tried any of these Ultra rowing events for charity or personal goals?

I've got a few friends who've done 24 and 48 hours..bloody crazy!

How'd he get on with the 24 hour? What did he get distance wise?

170k in 15 hours...had to give up with pains...last year he rowed a half marathon every day for a month. ..nutter but he lost loads of weight.

This is it your back and numbness of hamstrings are a killer!

I'm debating giving an ultra distance or time a try.

another fool in the concept rowing clubs rowed for 3-4 days withn only 10 mins off every hor..but he was pulling at 3-4 mins pace..hardly worth doing..

How do these things work, is it arse on the seat then not get up until the end?

Or are you allowed a stretch for 10-20 secs every few hours?

if you need a poo you have to do it in your pants and keep on rowing until your official rest time .....
