Need to get all the wax, etc off of my paintwork - as would like to polish, wax and then seal.

Do not simply want to wash it as think there are products out there that remove previous polish/wax/gloss.

What is the best way to achieve without machines.

Think I will try some "CarPro Eraser" which is claimed to be an intense oil and polish cleanser in preference to diluted IPA.

TBH Fairy Liquid isn't an entirely ridiculous suggestion...

Strong mix of shampoo for normal wash to begin with though is preferable.
Followed by Tardis or tar remover to shift glue,
Then a clay bar,
You may also use Eraser too, but that's generally more to remove oils after machine polishing to check that a) it's not filling and b) that the surface is perfectly clean to apply sealants etc to.

I usually use an APC (Meguiars APC is what I have at the moment), then wash/detar/clay etc.
