Has anyone fitted the radical upgraded drive shafts to there SR3?
I have fitted the upgraded drive shafts to my car and the left hand (short drive shaft) has zero axial end float.
I have confirmed the dimension from the upright bearing housing edge, to the the drive unit on another SR3 and the dimensions are identical. Could the shaft have been assembled incorrectly or am I missing something.
The orginal shaft had plenty of float prior to failure.
Does anyone know what the original Ford drive shafts are from, I believe they are from a mark 4 Escort

When you fitted the new shafts did you look at the inside of the cv joint, i have come across rubber pads glued inside to inhibit excess end float.
