vantage seat & interior lights not working

hi everyone, new to the site but have already found it very helpful and accommodating!

bought a 06 amv8 metorite grey with some tasty mileage (108,500 miles to be exact) one owner from new with a full charles hurst service history. was waiting for another one but got this at such a great price decided to buy!

couple of problems:

1- driver seat was working , but has now stopped , wont move in any direction, cant reset it as it wont budge at all. again it was working perfectly up to this.

2- around the same time the interior lights went as well, havent looked at fuses yet in cabin, but im hoping this may be the same prob!

3- paint work is shocking, usual spots, handles both sides, bottom of both doors, bonnet, boot , wondering since its a one owner car and has a full history what are the chances of aston covering it, will put photos uo soon as.

4- believe it or not it has never got a clutch, however since i have it it has started to slip in 5th and 6th, the previous owner looked after it extremly well other than complaining abot paintwork, grrrrr!

other than that it drives great and has no rattles or shakes!

i think there is a fuse box near glove box...might wanna check there first

thanks tony these prob s only started yesterday and i dont have the tool to take off the metal cover under the mat of the passenger footwell at home but ill be in the garage tuesday and im hoping to sort the prob then, just looking for advice, thanks !

According to my manual the the fuse you're chasing is in the cabin fuse box in the passenger footwell..

Fuse F47= 5amp....and is responsible for interior lamps(front footwell) seat switch pack, glovebox catch, fuel flap release, and boot accessory socket...

Maybe someone plugged somthing requiring a heavy load into the boot socket..

Thanks , that's a great help! Will save me some time! The passenger seat is still working so hopefully the drivers seat is a separate fuse! Will keep the fingers crossed! Funny enough it feels only just run in! I had another 06 vantage tungsten silver before with only 34000 miles and it didn't drive half as well as this one genuinely!

I think that your keyboard also needs to be fixed. Your fullstop key seems to have been replaced by an exclamation mark.

Get it sorted yourself by a reliable local bodyshop.

There is ZERO chance Aston will contribute on a car of that age I'm afraid, even if it was warranted. It isn't covered, although everyone agrees it should be!

just an update , checked fuses (as suggested by yeti)and found that indeed the interior light fuse had blown, however all other fuses were ok. once i changed the interior light fuse , drivers seat returned operational. a big thanks to yeti!!!!! a 5 min fix! cost 60 cent for a new fuse! happy days
