Hi,
I have had my e46 m3 a couple of weeks now. I have done a few small bits already, carbon csl diffuser and genuine bootlid also are in for paint so will be going on soon!
I have drawn a blank with wheels, i know i want csl's but cant decide on colour!
Gunmetal or hyper black... What do you think will work better?

Standard would be my first choice, but since you didn't offer that as an option I'll pick gunmetal. smile

Csl wheels, i'd go for a plain clean silver.

Another vote for gunmetal. It's subtle and looks superb on CSLs with a silver car.

The only two wheels that genuinely suit the E46 M3 are CSls or the standard 19s. For Silver, I would keep with a standard silver finish or a polished finish, please dont go for black or gunmetal, it looks st on most cars.

Here's mine with genuine CSLs, on coilovers and spacers.

Given that most M3's are lowered, got depos's, dark wheels, CSL's or dark CSL's I would vote for standard.

I think the standard 19's suit it the best. They look good with a polished finished but do take some taking care of

Indeed. I had my 19's refurbished about a year ago. Diamond cut and lacquered. One of them is pretty knackered - lacquer coming off, the others are looking a little tired already. Lovely looking wheels but a pain in the arse!

18" classics or 19" CSL's
